Help with an urgent plumbing problem
A burst pipe, urgent leak or overflowing toilet needs a clear next step. Tell us where the water is coming from and whether you have been able to stop it. We can discuss availability and the work needed to make the problem safe.
- Water escaping from a pipe or joint
- A leak spreading through a ceiling or floor
- A toilet overflowing or leaking heavily
What the plumber checks and does
- 01
Assess the job
The plumber checks the visible source, isolation points and affected fittings. Water appearing in one place may have travelled from another, so access to the source matters.
- 02
Explain options, then carry out agreed work
We explain the options for stopping the leak and repairing the fault. Depending on access and parts, the visit may involve a repair or temporary containment followed by an agreed return visit.
- 03
Check operation and explain the outcome
Where a repair is completed, the affected supply and fitting are checked for operation and visible leaks. We explain what has been done and any further work needed.
What to tell us before the visit
- Tell us your postcode, where the water is appearing and whether it is still running
- Say if the stopcock is accessible and whether you have safely stopped the water
- Keep the route to the affected fitting clear where safe
While waiting for help
Stop the water only if you can do so safely. Stay clear of water near electrics and call us. Do not put yourself at risk to reach a valve or inspect the leak.
How to arrange the work
- Call or request a call back. Give your postcode and describe the fault and when it happens. For an active emergency, call rather than waiting for a form reply.
- Agree the fixed price over the phone. Tell us about the problem. We agree the price with you over the phone before sending a plumber. That is the price you pay for the agreed work. We confirm coverage and availability. Same-day appointments where available; call to check.
- Agree the visit and work. An enquiry is not a confirmed appointment. We arrange attendance after you agree the fixed price by phone. If you request additional work, we explain and agree its price before proceeding.
Your emergency price is fixed before attendance
Fixed price agreed over the phone. No call-out fee. No open-ended hourly bill. Tell us about the problem. We agree the price with you over the phone before sending a plumber. That is the price you pay for the agreed work.
The fixed price does not increase if the agreed work takes longer. If you request additional work, we explain and agree its price before proceeding. We explain what the agreed work covers, including parts and any planned follow-up.
After the work: checks, parts and warranty
We explain the completed work and any remaining steps. If the right part is needed or access prevents completion, we discuss the next visit and its scope rather than promising every job can be finished at once.
Up to 10-year workmanship warranty, depending on the work carried out and subject to our existing warranty terms. Products, appliances and replacement parts retain their manufacturer warranties; this is not a blanket ten-year warranty on every item. If a concern arises after the visit, contact us with your enquiry reference and a description of the issue.
